The chilling condition sweeping over the country is likely to improve from Sunday, a meteorologist has forecasted.
The temperature may increase slightly from 9 am Friday to the next 24 hours across the country. The mild cold wave may improve in some areas of the country at the same time, said EKM Nazmul Haque, a meteorologist at the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
He also said moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during midnight to tomorrow morning.
The lowest temperature in the country – 8.4 degrees Celsius – was recorded in Chuadanga this morning as a mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the western district.
