Child killed in car crash
A speeding car belonging to a doctor ran over Siyam in front of the Sitakunda upazila health complex
A three and half years old boy was killed in a car accident on Dhaka-Chattogram highway near Sitakunda upazila health complex in Chattogram on Tuesday.
The deceased is identified as Siyam, son of Kamrul Islam, of Banshbaria of Sitakunda upazila.
Police quoting local people said a speeding car belonging to a doctor ran over Siyam in front of the Sitakunda upazila health complex at noon, leaving the child critically injured. He was taken to Chittagong Medical College

Hospital where on-duty doctor declared the boy dead.
The child along with his mother came to the hospital in the morning. The accident took place at noon when they were returning home, the witnesses said.
Sitakunda upazila health officer Md Nuruddin said the child was run over by a car while he was running on the road.
The incident that happened was very sad, he said.
Shamim Sheikh Station, officer-in-charge of Sitakunda Model Police Station, said a case was filed in this connection.
