Chefs demand unadulterated food ingredients

Chef’s Day was celebrated for the second time in the country where chefs demanded fresh and unadulterated food ingredients

Chefs from a rally held in Dhaka on the occasion of Chef's Day Tuesday demanded unadulterated ingredients to ensure safe food in the country.

The day was celebrated for the second time organised by "Shadakahan" – the country's first food magazine – and "Foodjagat" – a newsletter on the food sector, read a press release.

On this occasion, the chefs started a rally from in front of the capital's National Press Club and marched around the highway.

In a short speech at the beginning of the rally, Senior Chef Dil Afroz Sayeda said, "We want unadulterated food ingredients, and the government along with all the stakeholders must work together to make it a success."

Nazia Farhana Shanta, national chef of Rupchanda National Recipes Competition, and Moinul Haque, head of recipes research and development at Foodpanda, also spoke during this event.
