CAD to dispose of useless ammunition, explosives

The Central Ammunition Depot (CAD) of the army's Rajendrapur Cantonment will begin destroying useless ammunition and explosives at its demolition ground in Gazipur's Mawna from 27 December. 

The demolition ground is located at Shirishguri village in Mauna area of Gazipur District, 8 km south-west of Mauna Bazar Point on the Dhaka-Mymensingh road.

The destruction/burning activities will be conducted from 7am to 6pm every day from 27 December to 21 January, 2021, says an Inter Services Public Relations Directorate press release. 

During the operation, movement of people or any other domestic animal within 4 km around the demolition ground is extremely dangerous and risky.

Considering their safety, the general people have been urged not to move around the demolition ground during the period.
