Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul reappointed

Khandaker Anwarul Islam has been reappointed as cabinet secretary today.

He has been reappointed for the next two years, according to a gazette notification of the Ministry of Public Administration, issued on Tuesday noon.

On 13 October, 2019, Khandaker Anwarul Islam was officially appointed as the cabinet secretary.

He Islam joined civil service in 1983.

Anwarul Islam became secretary on 31 January, 2013 and senior secretary on July 13, 2017. He is also the ex-officio executive director of Bangladesh Bridge Authority. Before this, he worked in the cabinet division as additional secretary.

Anwarul Islam joined Bridges Division under the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges as secretary (in-charge) from 13 November, 2011.
