BSMMU celebrates Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 75th birthday

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has celebrated the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday (28 September) at the university premises.

The medical university celebrated the PM's birthday by inaugurating an emergency laboratory, holding a tree planting programme, discussion meeting, painting competition, cake cutting and other festivities, said a press release.

The emergency laboratory was inaugurated by the BSMMU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Sharfuddin Ahmed.

Earlier, BSMMU VC inaugurated the drawing competition with the participation of autistic children. Later, he inaugurated the tree planting programme at the Teachers and Student Centre of the university.

A discussion meeting on PM Hasina was held at the university auditorium in F Block. Amir Hossain Amu, MP, Member of the Advisory Council of the Awami League, coordinator and spokesperson of the 14 parties and president of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Art in the Jatiya Sangsad addressed the discussion as the chief guest. . At the end of the discussion, prayers were held at the Central Mosque of the University.

Teachers, doctors, officers, nurses, staff of the university participated in the programme maintaining health rules.
