BSF picks up 5 Bangladeshi fishermen from Padma

The Bangladeshi fishermen may have entered inside Indian territory while fishing as the area of catching fish is not identified in the Padma

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) allegedly picked up five Bangladeshi fishermen from Rajshahi's Kharchaka area of the Padma River on Friday.

The fisherman was detained on Friday night while catching fish in the river, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) -1 in Rajshahi, Captain Ferdous Ziauddin Mahmud said.

"The Bangladeshi fishermen may have entered inside Indian territory while fishing as the area of catching fish is not identified in the Padma," quoting other fishermen Captain Ferdous said.

A flag meeting with the BSF will be held on Saturday morning to get them back, he added.
