BSCIC chairman Mustaque wins Global Business and CSR Award 2021

Mustaque Hassan, chairman of the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), has won the Global Business and CSR Award 2021 for his outstanding efforts to help cottage, micro, small, and medium enterprises (CMSMEs) tackle the Covid-19 blues in the country.

He was recently handed the award at an event held at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in the capital, said a media statement issued on Wednesday.

The Bangladesh American Chamber of Commerce and Youth Commerce Communication International jointly gave him the award for his significant role in dynamising the business sector during the pandemic.

Md Tazul Islam, minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, graced the awards ceremony as its chief guest, while Dr Md Enamur Rahman, state minister for Disaster Management and Relief and Murad Hassan, state minister for Information were present as special guests.

Among others, Kamal Uddin, president of the Youth Commerce Communication International and Raju Alim, vice chairman of Bangladesh American Chamber of Commerce (Bangladesh Chapter) were also present at the awards ceremony.
