Brac, one of the largest NGOs in Bangladesh, has launched a hotline service for the employees working under its Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme (HCMP) for their protection.

Any employee working under the HCMP can lodge a complaint by dialing the number – 01810002828. Their identity would be kept secret, read a press release published by Brac.

The hotline number was launched formally at an event organized at Brac Learning Centre in Cox's Bazar on Monday evening on the occasion of International Women's Day-2021.

HCMP Officials Hasina Akhter Huq, Roberts Shila Muthini, Md Shah Alam, Md Abdul Matin Sarder and Hosne Ara Begum were present, among others, at the event.

In her speech Hasina Akhter Huq said the protection is not a matter of females, it is also a matter for males. "Anyone regardless of gender can lodge his complain if he/she is a victim of sexual harassment" she added.
