Bogura murder case accused killed publicly

Some unidentified miscreants stabbed a murder case accused to death in broad daylight at Udirigola bazar of Bogura Sadar upazila on Thursday. 

The deceased is Abdul Rahim, a fish trader who hails from Chakjhapu Jigatala area of the upazila. He is an accused in a case of attempted murder of Sabagram Union Awami League leader Md Israel Hossain.

Md Aslam Hossain, Bogura Detective Police Officer-in-Charge, said, "Abdul Rahim was one of the five to seven persons accused in the attempted murder of Israel."

"Abdur Rahim was at Udirigola Bazar at 9.30 am. Suddenly, some unidentified miscreants swooped on him and hacked him indiscriminately with sharp objects. Confirming Rahim's death, they left the spot," said SM Badiuzzaman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

Police initially claimed that the murder had been carried out because of the previous rivalry. 

Sanatan Chakraborty, additional superintendent of police of the district police informed that efforts are underway to arrest the killers.
