Bodies of two Ideal College students recovered
Mehedi, 17, Rajon, 17, and Akash went missing shortly after getting into the river around noon
Two students of Dhaka’s Ideal School and College were found dead on Sunday, a day after three friends had gone missing in the Dhaleswari River.
The body of Akash, 18, was recovered from Nama Gendaria area around 11:15am, said AFM Sayed, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station.
Mehedi’s body was recovered from the same area around 1pm, the OC added.
Both were first-year students.
Fire Service’s Station Officer Liton Ahmed said 12 students of the college had come to Bank Town, adjacent to the Dhaka-Aricha Highway, for a river cruise on Saturday.
Mehedi, 17, Rajon, 17, and Akash went missing shortly after getting into the river around noon.
Divers are looking for Rajon.
