BNP’s reserved seat lawmaker Rumeen Farhana has applied for a 10 katha plot of land at the Purbachal residential area.

On August 3, Farhana sent a letter to the Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim applying for the plot.

The letter reads that she does not own any land or flat in Dhaka, and that she has no other job or business except for advocacy.

“If you allocate a plot in my name, I will be grateful to you,” the letter ends.

When contacted, SM Rezaul Karim told The Business Standard that they will take steps in this regard as per the rules.

Despite repeated attempts to contact Rumeen Farhana over the phone, she could not be reached for comments on the matter.
