From now on, over one lakh consumers of Jalalabad Gas Transmission and Distribution System Limited (JGTDSL) can pay their bills through bKash, country’s largest mobile financial service provider, in a hassle-free way.

To this end, an agreement was signed between the two organisations at a hotel in Sylhet on Thursday, according to a press release issued by bKash.

Mizanur Rashid, chief commercial officer of bKash and Engineer Md Shaheenur Islam, general manager (marketing) of JGTDSL, inked the deal at a hotel in Sylhet, on behalf of their respective sides.

“bKash is working closely with utility service providers to lessen hassles of customers they have long been facing in the typical bill payment system,” said Mizanur.

Under this contract, JGTDSL subscribers, mostly living in remote places of Sylhet, Habiganj, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, and Sreemangal, will be able to pay bills anytime from anywhere through bKash in a smooth and easy way.

To avail this facility, a customer can dial *247# or use the bKash app.
