A Dhaka court on Thursday sent former managing director (MD) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Abdul Munir Mosaddeq Ahmed to jail in a case filed for corruption in recruiting cadet pilots.

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Deputy Director Abu Bakar Siddique produced him before the court with an application mentioning that he needed to be in custody for the sake of proper investigation.

Earlier on Monday, five Biman officials, including the incumbent captain Farhat Hasan Jamil, were quizzed on the same charge.
