According to Biman official website, this decision has been enforced from Saturday.

Meanwhile, the attempt to send the expatriates back to Saudi Arabia got stumbled at the beginning as most of the flights were cancelled on Saturday.

Earlier, seven special flights were cancelled for denying landing permission and passenger crisis.

Dr Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal, managing director and chief executive officer of Biman Bangladesh Airlines told The Business Standard, "Today six flights were scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia but only the Zeddah flight will be operated at 6 pm."

Mentioning the reason behind the cancellation of flights, he said, "We did not get landing permission for the Riyadh flight. Besides, other flights had to be canceled due to various reasons such as some passengers could not complete PCR test, some were Covid-19 positive and some have refunded tickets."
