The Namaz-e-Janaza of the four people, who were killed in Sunday's clash in Bhola, were held in their respective localities on Monday.

Mahbub, 14, Shahin, 23, and Mahfuz, 45 – all three from Bhola's Borhanuddin upazila were buried without post-mortem of their bodies.

The fourth man, Mizanur Rahman, was from Hathazari and was also laid to rest without autopsy of his body.

Officer-in-Charge of Borhanuddin Police Station Enamul Haque said: "We handed the bodies over to the families at noon."

Bhola-2 lawmaker Ali Azam Mukul said he had instructed the health department to provide proper medical care for those injured in the clash.

Regarding the demands of All Party Muslim Unity Council, District Administrator Masud Alam Siddique said: "We have not received their new demands yet. However, we have agreed on their three-point demand that they placed on Sunday."

Joint Member Secretary of All Party Muslim Unity Council Mizanur Rahman, however, said the administration had not yet agreed on their demands.

He threatened to launch a tougher agitation if the demands are not fulfilled.

On Sunday, four people were killed and hundreds injured in clashes between police and local people in Bhola's Borhanuddin upazila. The local people were demonstrating for punishment of a youth who, they claimed, had hurt their religious sentiments in a Facebook post.
