Cumulatively, 27 impact enterprises graduated from the virtual incubation in 2020, equipped with better knowledge and resources to excel

Twenty seven impact enterprises have received "graduate" recognition from Biniyog Briddhi, Roots of Impact and LightCastle Partners for improving the standard of living, and generating employment through information technology (IT).

Dhaka Cast, Smart Retina, Traceabl, portechai.com and Romoni are among the 27 enterprises.

Dhaka Cast got graduate recognition for providing online service for diabetes patients at home; Smart Retina for initial detection of diabetes; Traceabl for suggestions on agriculture and fish farming; Romoni as an e-learning platform and providing parlour service.

The virtual graduation ceremony was organised by Biniyog Briddhi (B-Briddhi) on Wednesday.

Maxime Cheng, lead of Market and Capacity Building Programmes at Roots of Impact; and Bijon Islam, CEO of LightCastle Partners; attended the event among other guests where Mehad Ul Haque, business consultant of Light Castle Partners, conducted the ceremony.

Addressing the event, Maxime Cheng, programme manager of B-Briddhi, said, "While 2020 has been a year with lots of physical limitations, it highlighted the value of the online incubation component being offered in B-Briddhi".

One of the participating entrepreneurs in the Bridge for Billions incubation platform, Bushra Anjum, co-founder of wizkit, said, "The incubation programme has helped us to groom our startup's business model for the better".

As the world went down into pandemic lockdown in 2020, Biniyog Briddhi provided access to the virtual incubation platform to five impactful Bangladeshi incubators- YY Ventures, BetterStories, Bangladesh Angels, Truvalu Enterprises, and BYLC Ventures.

B-Briddhi is a multi-year partnership between the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, Roots of Impact, and LightCastle Partners including other stakeholders, such as investors, private sector organizations, incubators, and support organizations for impact enterprises.
