Police arrested Rifat Faraji, another accused in Barguna’s Rifat Sharif murder case, early on Wednesday.
The arrest comes a day after Nayan Bond, prime accused in the case, was killed in a gunfight with police in Barguna Sadar upazila.
Rifat, 23, is one of the 12 people accused in the case.

Addressing a news briefing at Barguna SP office, Deputy Inspector General of Barisal Range Mohammad Shafiqul Islam said Rifat was arrested at 2:30am during a police raid.
He did not disclose any more detail of the raid.
“Rifat will be brought before court today (Wednesday),” said Shafiqul.
Police have so far arrested Chandan, 21, Hasan, 19, Oliullah, 22, Najmul, 19, Tiktok Hridoy, 21, Sagor, 19, Saimun, 21, and Rabbi in connection with the case.
