Bangladeshi photographer wins Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Awards 2020

Another Bangladeshi photographer Azim Khan Ronnie's images of "Hilsa and "Fasting celebrating" were also in the winning list

Bangladeshi photographer KM Asad has won prestigious Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2020 for his image of Rohingya refugee children queuing with empty plates for food in Bangladesh.

Divided into various categories, the overall winning shot called "After Exodus" by Bangladeshi photographer KM Asad, was taken in the vast Rohingya refugee camp, a home to over one million people in Cox's Bazar.

Another Bangladeshi photographer Azim Khan Ronnie's images of "Hilsa and "Fasting celebrating" were also in the winning list.  

Some 9,000 pictures were submitted from more than 70 countries across the world for the international photography competition.  

The awards ceremony was streamed live online due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Other category winners included photographer Zay Yar Lin's image of "The Morning Catch", Anna Włodarczyk's "Olek Eating Pancakes" and Sangjun Lee's "Believers Sharing a Meal".
