Bangladeshi photographer and Police Superintendent of Bogura, Md Ali Asraf Bhuiyan, received an Honourable Mention at International Photography Awards 2020.
His photo story was about Bangladesh police and their heroic activities amid Covid-19 pandemic.
In his words, "Bangladesh Police is the part and parcel of the first line of defence against Covid-19. They are the most exposed to the novel coronavirus as they work in the field maintaining order despite risking infection.
More than 14,209 police infected and 62 sacrificed their life with Covid-19 in Bangladesh.
While people are steering clear from anyone suspected of contracting Covid-19, locals were trying to stop the burial from happening.
While the body of 21 years old women was dumped in to the river, fearing that she was infected with the Covid-19, police recovered the dead body and conducted burial of 'Covid-19 victims.
Performing duty to impose lockdown to ensure safety and security of the civilians, they were affected and sacrificed lives."
