Bangladesh Navy distributes relief goods among flood affected people in Dhamrai

Bangladesh Navy has provided food aid and medical supplies to flood-hit areas in Baishakanda and Roail unions of Dhamrai upazila in Dhaka on Sunday to deal with the flood situation across the country.

Each family was provided with rice, pulses, oil, flattened and puffed rice, sugar, molasses, salt, candles, matches, saline, water purification tablets and pure drinking water as aid, said a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).

The chairmen and local people's representatives of Baishakanda and Roail unions of Dhamrai Upazila were present at the time of the relief distribution works.

Earlier, the navy officials distributed similar relief items among the needy families of Kulla and Sombhag Unions of Dhamrai Upazila, the release added.

It is to be noted that these activities are being carried out regularly by the navy officials to help the people of the affected areas in the remote locations of the country to deal with the flood situation.

The release said that these activities of the Bangladesh Navy will continue till the situation improves.
