Bangladesh Consulate in NY celebrates ‘Mujibnagar Day'

The Bangladesh Consulate General in New York celebrated the historic 'Mujibnagar Day' with due respect.

The day was celebrated at the Consulate in New York with all the officers and staff in compliance with the health rules and regulations.

At the beginning of the programme, Consul General Sadia Faizunnesa along with all the officers and staff of the Consulate observed a minute of silence paying homage to the memory of all martyred freedom fighters, four national leaders, and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

On this occasion, the speeches from the President and the Prime Minister sent from Dhaka were read and the significance of the historic Mujibnagar Day in the history of Bangladesh was discussed. Special prayers were also offered for the souls of the Father of the Nation, other martyred members of his family, martyred heroic freedom fighters and four national leaders and for the continued peace and prosperity of the country.
