Bangladesh has called for the immediate cessation of such attacks

Bangladesh has criticised Houthi rebels' drone attacks on different targets in Saudi Arabia.

"Bangladesh strongly condemns the drone attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the South-western city of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abha by the Houthi rebels on 10 February, 2021 that hit a parked commercial aircraft causing damage, and the second attack on 17 February, 2021 which however, was intercepted and destroyed by the Joint Coalition Forces before hitting targets," said a press release issued from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.

"These unprovoked acts by the Houthi rebels undermine the peace and security in the region," reads the press release.

"Bangladesh calls for immediate cessation of such attacks and reiterates solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the face of such aggression, and expresses its full support to the Kingdom against any threat to its security and territorial integrity and in their efforts to bring about lasting peace and stability in the region," the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added.
