Bangladesh Bank joint director, 2 daughters killed in Chattogram road accident

A Bangladesh Bank official along with his two daughters were killed in a tragic road accident on Dhaka-Chattogram highway early today.

The deceased are Saifuzzaman Mintu, 45, joint director of Bangladesh Bank (Chattogram regional office), his two daughters - Ashra Anam Khan, 13, and Tasnim Jaman Khan, 11.

His wife Konika, 40, and son Montu, 10, are in Chattogram Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

"A lorry collided head-on with the Dhaka-bound private car of the bank official coming from opposite direction in front of  Faujdarhat traffic box in Chattogram, leaving the casualties," said Alauddin, assistant sub-inspector of Chattogram Medical College Hospital police outpost.  

The injured were rushed to the hospital, ASI Alauddin added.
