BAF No 09 squadron commanders’ course participants receive certificates

Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Air Vice Marshal M Abul Bashar distributed certificates amongst graduating officers as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of No 09 Squadron Commanders' Course (SCC) held at Falcon Hall, BAF Officers' Mess, Dhaka on Sunday.

Air Vice Marshal M Nazrul Islam, Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar and Group Captain Md Sharif Mustafa, Officer Commanding of Command and Staff Training Institute (CSTI), formally received M Abul Bashar on his arrival.

During his opening address, Officer Commanding, CSTI provided a brief overview on the training and academic curricula of No 09 SCC. Twelve officers from BAF have participated in this course, designed to provide management and leadership training to future Squadron Commanders of BAF.

Since the inception of the Squadron Commanders Course in 2009, CSTI has been tasked to prepare future leaders of Bangladesh Armed Forces who can serve the nation with dignity and honour.

The chief guest later handed over the certificates to all graduating officers.

In his closing address, emphasising command and leadership traits, the chief guest said skills acquired during the course would be of immense value in fulfilling future assignments.

He also appreciated the institute for successfully conducting the course despite the ongoing Covid-19 situation.

Finally, he participated in an official photography session with all graduating officers. Senior officers of BAF and other guests were present in the ceremony.
