An auto-rickshaw driver has been hacked to death by some unidentified criminals in Narsingdi on Thursday.
The deceased, Habibur Rahman, 19, hailed from Narsingdi Sadar upazila.
Locals said Habibur was attacked by the criminals while returning home from the market at 7 pm. He succumbed to death in the spot.
Syed Ruhul Amin, sub-inspector of Narsingdi Sadar Police Station, said it is assumed that a dispute over money lending with one of his friends may have caused the murder.
