Attack on Tabith should not be repeated: Quader

Bangladesh Awami League General Secretary, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the Election Commission should seriously look into the attack on BNP's Dhaka North City Corporation mayoral aspirant Tabith Awal.

"Such attacks should not be repeated," the minister said while visiting a road construction work in Cox's Bazar.

A group of men yesterday allegedly attacked and injured Tabith and his supporters in Gabtoli area of the capital.

The incident took place when Tabith and his supporters were campaigning for the upcoming elections as the attackers swooped on them group with sticks and threw eggs at Tabith.

The mayor aspirant sustained injuries on his head during the attack.
