Army man shot dead in Rangamati

A member of Bangladesh Army was shot dead in an indiscriminate firing by unidentified criminals on an Army patrol team in Poyaitukhum area in Rangamati today.

The victim was Nasim, 19, a soldier of army, said an ISPR release.

He received bullet wounds as criminals opened fire indiscriminately on a regular patrol team of army in Poyaitukhum area, four kilometers away from Rajasthali Army camp in Rangamati region, around 10.00 am.

Nasim was flown by helicopter to Chattogram Combined Military Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Now vigilance has been strengthened and security measures are being controlled by army.
