Army chief visits Jolshiri Residential Project

Chief of Army Staff, SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, called upon the authorities concerned to continue the tree plantation campaign at the Jolshiri Residential Project in a planned way. 

He urged this during a visit to the Bangladesh Army residential project on Thursday, said a media statement issued by ISPR. 

He also participated in the tree plantation campaign in the housing project and duly surveyed the overall progress of the project.

Other senior army officials and board directors of the Jolshiri Residential Project were also present there.

According to the press release, 68,000 saplings of 178 tree species will be planted in the residential project.

To be noted here, the Bangladesh Army's Tree Plantation Programme 2021, was launched on 8 July last.
