Another Bangladeshi infected with coronavirus in Singapore

Another Bangladeshi national, aged 26, has been infected with coronavirus (now named Covid-19) in Singapore.

The total number of Bangladeshi coronavirus patients in Singapore has now reached 5. 

According to the Singapore Health Ministry website, the 26-year-old Bangladeshi national is a Singapore Work Pass holder and has no recent travel history to China.

He worked at Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site, the same place where the first four Bangladeshi coronavirus patients worked.

On February 9, the first Bangladeshi worker was diagnosed with the virus in Singapore.

Another Bangladeshi worker was diagnosed with the coronavirus on February 12.

On February 13, two Bangladeshi nationals, aged 30 and 37 were found infected with the virus.

As of Saturday night, at least 1,523 deaths and 66,492 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Mainland China, mostly in central Hubei province.

Outside mainland China, there have been about 500 cases in some two dozen countries and territories, with four deaths in Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines and France.

An elderly Chinese tourist infected with the coronavirus has died the same day, becoming the first fatality in Europe.
