A total of 19 more pairs of trains - nine pairs of intercity and 10 pairs of mail and commuter trains - are resuming operation from today.

This information was conveyed in a notification of the Ministry of Railways.

According to the notification, 24 pairs of intercity and nine pairs of mail and local trains with half of the passenger capacity started running from 24 May.

All intercity train tickets were being sold online and on the app but now half of the tickets are being sold from the station counter since Tuesday.

The intercity trains that are resuming from today are Dhaka-Mymensingh-Tarakanda 'Agnibina Express', Dhaka-Sylhet 'Jayantika / Upaban Express', Chattogram-Sylhet 'Paharika / Udayan Express', Rajshahi-Chilahati 'Barendra Express', Khulna-Chilahati 'Shimanta Express', Dhaka-Kurigram 'Kurigram Express', Panchagarh-Dhaka 'Panchagarh Express', and Panchagarh-Rajshahi 'Banglabandha Express'.

The 10 pairs of mails and commuters that are resuming are Dhaka / Chattogram Mail, Surma Mail, Titas Commuter, Dewanganj Commuter, Mymensingh Express, Mahua Commuter, Rajbari Express, Biral Commuter, Bogura Commuter and College Train.

The railway fleet has a total of 362 pairs of passenger trains including 102 pairs of intercity trains.
