Ancient statue found in Shatkhira

A 400-year-old statue has been recovered while digging at Patkelghata in Satkhira on Saturday morning.
According to locals, the workers of Molla Bricks found a gold-like statue while digging with excavators. Soon the news spread around the village causing mass attention.
Patkelghata Station Officer-in-Charge Kazi Wahid Murshed said, "The statue found in the brickyard is now in police custody. After testing, the goldsmith said it was not gold but a brass statue."
The piece is assumed to be 400 years old. It weighs 1.4 kg.
