Alltech introduces Planet of Plenty awards

Global multinational company Alltech has introduced “Planet of Plenty” award to honour people who have contributed significantly to meet people's need for food and nutrition.

Alltech will also honour those who have sacrificed their lives for the welfare of the world’s environment.

The awards will be given in eight categories – farmer, student, journalist, nonprofit, community, business, startup and educator.

Dr Saiful Islam, general manager of Alltech Bangladesh, said: "We are looking for stories of people who are doing something extraordinary, different or new, and whose efforts are connected to the agri-food industry."

Nominations for this year’s awards will close on July 31.

Anyone from Bangladesh can also nominate eligible candidates. People can visit (https://www.planetofplenty.com/nominate/) to nominate candidates.

The winners will receive awards and a trip for two to ONE: The Alltech Ideas Conference to be held on May 19-21, 2020, in Lexington, Kentucky, USA.
