A group of miscreants have vandalised the office of Awami League's Dhar Mandal union unit in Brahmanbaria's Nasirnagar upazila.

Locals said the miscreants stormed into the office in the afternoon and carried out extensive vandalism there. They also shattered pictures of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Md Bahar Uddin, a ruling party leader and chairman of local union parishad, blamed Jamaat-Shibir men for the vandalism.

Ariful Haque, officer-in-charge of Nasirnagar Police station, said legal action will be taken against the attackers.
