Air Chief leaves for Turkey
During the visit, the air chief will visit the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founding father of Turkey, and pay homage to him by laying a floral wreath at his mausoleum
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, with his spouse and an entourage of four, left Dhaka on Sunday night for Turkey on a six day official visit.
He left the country by a C-130J aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force upon the invitation of Commander of the Turkish Air Force, General Hasan Küçükakyüz, reads a press release.
During the visit, the air chief will visit the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founding father of Turkey, and pay homage to him by laying a floral wreath at his mausoleum.
During his stay in Turkey, he will call on Turkish General Staff (TGS) Commander, General Yaşar Güler, Turkish Army Force Commander, General Ümit DÜNDAR, and Commander of Turkish Navy Force, Admiral Adnan Özbal, apart from Commander of Turkish Air Force, General Hasan Küçükakyüz.
The Bangladesh Air Force chief will exchange views on bilateral issues of mutual interest with Turkish armed services counterparts. He will exchange views with the Turkish Air Combat Force Commander, and the Commander of the Turkish Air Force Academy, including high military and civil officials on professional matters.
The air chief will visit different Turkish military and civil installations including air bases, the Air Force Academy, Military Museum, and Aviation Museum in Turkey.
It is expected that the air chief's visit will play a vital role in strengthening the existing cordial relationship with Bangladesh and Turkey by expanding the scope of mutual cooperation in professional sectors.
There will also be an opportunity to exchange fruitful views with high Turkish military and civil officials on the future plans of the Bangladesh and Turkish Air Forces. The air chief is expected to return home on 25 April.
