8 killed in Mymensingh road accident

Eight people were killed and four other injured when a microbus fell into a roadside pond in Phulpur of Mymensingh.
The accident took place around 7:30am on Tuesday.
Of the injured, two have been admitted to Phulpur Upazila Health Complex. The rest left after receiving first aid.
Confirming the incident, Imarat Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Phulpur Police Station, said, "All of the deceased were residents of Bhaluka and Gafargaon areas of the district".
"A total of 14 people were on their way to take part in the namaz-e-janaza of a relative in Nalitabari area of Sherpur," he added.
The bodies of the deceased include a child and five women.
