7 Myanmar nationals held with 2.80 lakh yaba in Teknaf

The Bangladesh Coast Guard on Wednesday arrested seven Myanmar citizens along with 2.80 lakh pieces of yaba pills from Katabunia area in Sabrang union of Teknaf upazila in Cox's Bazar.

Lieutenant Commander Amirul Haque, Station Officer of Teknaf Coastguard, told The Business Standard, a patrol team Coast Guard intercepted a boat near the Katabunia Ghat around 12:30am.

Later, the team seized the yaba pills worth over TK8 crores from the boat and detained the Myanmar citizens.

A case was filed in this regard, said the official.
