Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Sunday arrested seven people for their alleged involvement in leaking question papers of recruitment examinations through electronic devices.

"A team detained them during separate drives on Sunday midnight from capital's Kafrul and Lalbagh area," Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Mahfuzur Rahman said during media briefing at the DMP Media Centre in the city today.

Police also seized 12 electronic devise, 16 micro headphones, 15 mobile phones, 25 SIMs of different mobile operators and four solutions books of different recruitment examinations.

"During primary interrogation, they confessed about their involvement in leaking question papers on contract basis," he added.

They also confessed of using WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger to communicate with each other, he added.

The arrestees are Mahmudul Hasan Azad, Md Nahid, Rasel Ali, Ruhul Amin, Khalekur Rahman Titu, Ahmed Zubayer Sayman and Md Ibrahim.

Mahmudul Hasan Azad and Rasel Ali were already in the list of Criminal Investigation Department for their involvement in question paper leak.
