6 units of Bangladesh Army receive regimental colors from the army chief

The Regimental Color giving ceremony of 6 units of the Bangladesh Army was held at the 24th Infantry Division in Chattogram on Wednesday.

Chief of army staff General Aziz Ahmed was present at the ceremony as the chief guest of the occasion, said a press release issued by Inter Service Public Relations directorate (ISPR).

High profile army officials along with other member of the force were also present at the programme.  

Regimental colors are given to the units for special contribution in serving the country and its people, and for upholding the glorious heritage of the army.

Following this tradition, the 6 Signal Battalion, 18 Veer, 20 Veer, 21 Veer, 22 Veer and 23 Veer of Bangladesh Army received regimental colors on the occasion.

These units participated in a parade marking the occasion, led by parade commander Lieutenant Colonel Md Rafiqul Islam, at the MR Chowdhury parade ground of the East Bengal Regiment center in Chattogram, and officially received the regimental flag from the chief guest.
