6 killed in Mymensingh road crash

At least six people were killed as a bus hit a private car in Mymensingh's Bhaluka area today morning.

Hadiul Islam, in-charge of Bhaluka Highway Police Station said, "All the passengers, including a child, two women and three men, of the private car died at spot."

The deceased are Hasna, her sister Nazma, Hasna's son Hasibul and mother-in-law Jannati. The driver, Monir also died on the spot and another deceased is identified as Billal Hossain of Bari Trishal Upazila.

Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhaluka Model Police Station Mainuddin said, "A bus of Imam Paribahan crashed into a private car at around 8:30am on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Bhaluka Upazila."

The body has been kept at Bharuka Varadoba Highway Police Station and will be handed over to his family members.

The bus driver escaped after the incident.
