5 of a family among 7 killed in Rajshahi accident

Seven people, including five members from a family, were killed when a private car hit a tree at Kadipur in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi today afternoon.

The deceased are Akkas Ali, his wife Hosne Ara, his son Adib Hasan, daughter Mushfika and sister-in-law Asiya Begum and Hosne Ara's friend Atiya, and the driver of the private car Mahbubur Rahman.

Abdul Khaleque, sub-inspector of Godagari Police Station said, "The Godagari-bound private car coming from Rajshahi collided with a tree when its driver of the lost control over steering, killing three on the spot."

Four others died while undergoing treatment at the Rajshahi Medical Hospital.
