5 crude bombs seized from capital’s Karwan Bazar

Five crude bombs have been seized from the area beside the metro rail project site in front of the Wasa headquarter in the capital's Karwan Bazar area. 

One of the bombs exploded after it came in contact with the tyre of a bus. 

The incident has been confirmed by Mahmud Khan, assistant-commissioner of Tejgaon zone, Dhaka Metropolitan police. 

He said, the police have not yet been able to identify who had left the crude bombs. 

A bomb disposal unit of the Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit has seized the bombs for further investigation.
