5 Bangladeshis arrested in India over rape incident
Five Bangladeshis were arrested on Thursday by Bengaluru police for allegedly raping a woman, torturing her and recording the assault.
The arrests were made hours after Assam Police shared visuals from a viral video circulating on social media to trace the accused.
The victim is also a Bangladeshi young woman who was allegedly brought to India for human trafficking, reports Hindustan Times.
Meanwhile, a case has been filed by the police in Haitjheel Police Station in this regard.
Tejgaon Deputy Commissioner of Police Shahidullah said the Bangladeshis, arrested in India, will be repatriated soon.
