Some 4,000 Rohingyas are ready to go to Bhasan Char in Noakhali as a part of their relocation in the fourth phase.

In the first phase, the Rohingyas, who are in a humanitarian shelter at Ukhiya upazila in Teknaf of Cox's Bazar, will leave the transit point in four shifts on Sunday afternoon, according to concerned sources.

The buses are scheduled to leave the Ukhiya Degree College ground area for Chattogram in two shifts.

Apart from the main camp in Ukhiya, Rohingyas willing to go from all 34 camps will arrive at the transit point from Saturday afternoon. The rest are scheduled to arrive on Sunday morning and noon.

About 72 buses, several trucks and other necessary vehicles are being kept ready for the two-day journey.

Seeking anonymity, the heads (Majhi) of the registered and unregistered Rohingya camps said that many are now eager to relocate after witnessing the changed lives of those who had gone to Bhasan Char earlier.

Several thousands of Rohingya were relocated to Bhasan Char on 4 and 28 December and later on 28 and 29 January.
