4,000 doctors recommended as 42nd BCS result published

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Thursday published the final result of the 42nd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations. 

A total of 4,000 doctors who have passed the exams have been recommended to be appointed. 

The government is recruiting 4,000 physicians in two phases under this special BCS eying to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. 

According to the health ministry, initially it was decided to recruit 2,000 doctors under the 42nd BCS, but the government later decided to recruit 2,000 more.

BPSC issued the circular of 42nd special BCS to recruit 2,000 physicians last year. Some 31,000 aspirants took part in the preliminary exams held on 26 February this year. 

Of them, 6,022 candidates were selected in the preliminary exams as the BPSC published the preli result on 29 March.
