4 postal employees detained with yaba at Dhaka airport

Four post office employees were detained along with 2,355 piece yaba tablets at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday.

Aviation Security Scanner ASG Sultan Mahmud detected Yaba-like objects inside a bag during scanning of post office goods at Hangar Gate No 8 today at around 7 am today.

After he informed the aviation security, Airport Security Manager Squadron Leader Ashekin, Squadron Leader Fariha and ASP Anita rushed to the spot and seized 2,355 yaba tablets. They detained four employees of the post office.

The accused persons were handed over to the representative of the Narcotics Control Department.
