4 killed in Sylhet road accident

Four passengers, including a child, of the microbus died on the spot due to large fire caused by the gas-cylinder explosion

Four passengers were killed as a freight truck hit a microbus, causing its gas cylinder to blow-up, in Sylhet's Golapganj on Wednesday morning.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident took place on the Sylhet-Zakiganj road in Golapganj upazila, adjacent to Mollagram Government Primary School, around 5.30am in the morning.  

Golapganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Harun-Ur-Rashid confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

Four passengers, including a child, of the microbus died on the spot due to large fire caused by the gas-cylinder explosion.

Four critically injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.

Fire service units have started the rescue operation.
