4 arrested for alleged involvement with stealing in city

A police team in a drive arrested four persons from different parts of the capital yesterday for their alleged
involvement with stealing at a flat on central road in city's Kalabagan area.

The arrested persons were identified as Mohammad Hasan alias Jisan , Md Anwar Hossain, Md Abdul Alim and Md Likhon Sheikh.

Talking to BSS, DMP deputy commissioner (DC) (Media) Masudur Rahman said four were arrested from different areas of the Dhaka city for their involvement with stealing.

He said police recovered Taka 20,000, gold ornaments including chain and ring and one laptop from a flat at Kalabagan in the city.

An unidentified group of thieves stole cash, gold ornaments and laptop from the flat on March 31, he added.

A case was lodged in this connection with Kalabagan police station on April 2, he said, adding that the detective branch of police managed to nab two suspects after watching CCTV footage.

Following their arrest, other two thieves were arrested, police sources said.
