A Dhaka court has placed four members of militant group “Allah-r Dol” on three-day remand for interrogation.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sufian Mohammad Noman granted the remand when Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Assistant Police Superintendent Suman Sarker placed them before the court with a seven-day remand plea on Wednesday.

Earlier the day, RAB detained the militants from the capital’s Dokkhinkhan area.

The detainees are Sirajul Islam Seherul Mridha, 38, of Pabna, Moniruzzaman Munir, 40, of Narayanganj, SM Hafizur Rahman Sagor, 45, of Khulna and Md Shafiul Moznabil Tuhin, 27, of Rangpur.

“A team of RAB-1 arrested the members of the militant group from the area around 3am on Wednesday,” Commanding Officer of RAB-1 Lt Col Md Sarwar-Bin-Kashem said.

Earlier on August 18, RAB had arrested another four members of the militant group from Hatirjheel area in the city.
