34 more Bangladeshis return from Italy
The returnees will be taken to Ashkona Hajj camp in the capital
Thirty-four more Bangladeshis returned to Dhaka from Italy in two Qatar Airways and Emirates flights today afternoon, confirms Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Director Towhid Al Ahsan.
The returnees will be taken to Ashkona Hajj camp in the capital.
They will be kept in quarantine there for the next 14 days, said officials of the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR).
Earlier, another 142 Bangladeshis returned from Italy. They are also in quarantine at the Ashkona Hajj camp.
In Italy, millions are locked down and more than 1,000 people have died from the coronavirus.
Death toll from coronavirus or Covid-19 reached 5,436 globally as of Saturday. Besides, 145,810 cases were reported from around the world.
Of them, 67,843 are currently infected while 72,531 patients have recovered.
